London Bees are delighted to announce the loan signing of Reading midfielder Sophie Quirk!
The 18-year-old is one of England’s highest-rated youth players and signifies a real coup for Lee Burch’s side, Quirk will be looking to gain first-team experience in the FA Women’s Championship in the second half of this season.
Quirk is primarily an attacking wide midfielder and will be hoping to contribute plenty to the Bees, starting with this weekend’s big trip to Liverpool in the FAWC.
Our latest recruit has been capped by the Lionesses at youth level and featured in the u17 European Championships. She has also been selected for her country at under-19 level.
Speaking on the signing of Quirk, Manager Lee Burch said: “I am absolutely delighted to have Sophie on board with us and think she is a big addition to our side going into the second half of the season. She is a really talented young player and will blend in well with the squad we already have in place here.
“I have to also give thanks to Kelly Chambers for her part in the deal and trusting us to help Sophie develop further. I am really looking forward to working with Sophie in the coming weeks!”
Sophie will be available for selection for this weekend’s trip to Liverpool.
