The Bees are delighted to announce that former Lewes Midfielder Emily Donovan has joined the Club.

Donovan joins the Bees having recently played for fellow FA Women’s Championship side Lewes. The midfielder joined the Rooks in the summer of 2019 from former FAWSL side Yeovil Town. She has also played for Oxford United and represented Great Britain at the World University Games.

The tricky midfielder has already featured against the Bees this season and will know her new Manager well, having played for Lee during her time at the Glovers. The 23-year-old will be hoping to make an instant impact, as the Bees enter a period of big matches as we continue to try and push up the league table.

Speaking about his new addition, Burch said: “I am delighted to be working with Emily again, she has a fantastic background and is an immensely skilful player.

She caused us all sorts of problems when we played Lewes last season and she will add plenty of quality to our squad. Importantly, she also has a great attitude off the pitch, she was a pleasure to work with at Yeovil and she will fit in well with the existing squad here.”

We’re delighted to welcome Emily to the Club and look forward to seeing her in action soon.
