Sian, you have spoken lately about the importance of these January fixtures and we have another opportunity to pick up three more points this weekend?

“It is another game we need to be competitive in, especially with where we are in the league.

“We came away disappointed after the last two times we played them, so the girls are raring to go and battle this weekend.”

Having been on the wrong end of the result twice against Crawley, how can we make sure that does not happen this time around?

“We have reflected on our performances against them and the players have all been putting in the time and effort to look at themselves.

“Crawley Wasps have had a change in management since the last time we played them, so we are expecting a few changes which could lead to a different challenge.

“We are looking to prepare ourselves well for those challenges, and hopefully will come out with a positive result.”

With that said, what sort of game are you expecting?

“It is always a tough one because Crawley are a really solid team with some great individuals within the group.

“They have some real threats going forward and are solid defensively. They do not tend to concede very many goals.

“We have bought in some new signings since our last match against them that have made a big impact. The team is in a good place which has been helped by last weekend’s 5-0 win.

“The mood within the camp is high and we are looking forward to the challenge and are ready for what will be a good game of football.”

A second 5-0 win away from home this season will surely provide our players with a lot of positive momentum heading into the match as well?

“The players were absolutely fantastic against Chichester & Selsey. It was a tough game and was really tight in the first-half.

“The players excelled themselves throughout the second period and it was great to see them show their quality and get at the opposition. We punished them when the opportunities came.”

Ashleigh marked her wonderful recovery after coming on the pitch for Frankie Webster last Sunday. How has she been around the squad since then, because she must have been buzzing after that?

“She definitely was and I do not think I have seen a bigger smile on a player’s face when coming on the pitch.

“It is a remarkable comeback for her and I am just so excited to have her in and around the group.

“She has been on an exceptional journey that has been so inspirational in terms of the hard work and dedication that was required to get back to where she is now.

“To see her back on the pitch has been great, and she has been fantastic on and off the field, as well as in training. We are just so grateful to be a part of that journey.

“Ashleigh brings so much experience and leadership to everything she does and we are just so happy to have her back at London Bees.”
