Sian Osmond’s side recorded back-to-back victories after triumphing over Hounslow at Rectory Meadow in the FA Women’s National League.

In the Bees’ first midweek match of the season, it was the hosts who started stronger. Faye Hazelton was forced into two saves from corners early on.

Emma Hollingsworth volleyed into the goalie’s hands before saving once again from Hounslow’s No. 4 who headed low towards the centre of the goal.

Sian Osmond’s side began to battle their way back into the match and looked to cause issues in the 17th minute when Danielle Puddefoot picked up the ball on the edge of the box, before slicing her 20-yard shot just wide of the near post.

The Bees continued their pressure and found the net on the 27th minute after Millie Constantine’s clever run was picked out with a ball over the top of the defence.

The young midfielder took the ball under control and poked the ball home, however her celebrations were cut short after being flagged offside.

The hosts almost took the lead as the first-half drew to a close, following a good pass and move that opened up space behind the Bees backline. Just as the striker went to pull the trigger, Jess Burke came across and blocked the shot well.

The Bees started the second-half with intent and tested the keeper just after the re-start when the referee awarded a free-kick to Osmond’s side on the edge of the box.

Puddefoot stood over the free-kick and curled it over the wall and into the bottom corner to force a smart save from Vicky Wright.

Sian Osmond’s side continued to search for the opener and were ahead in the 79th minute.

Parker Dunn brought the ball down the right side before looking up and picking out Nikki Jancey in the box, who volleyed emphatically into the bottom left corner to score her third goal in two games.

The Bees continued to fight hard throughout the last 10 minutes to ensure that Osmond’s side recorded back-to-back victories!
