London Bees are delighted to announce the signing of Evie Gane from AFC Wimbledon.
The 20 year 0ld full-back will give Lee Burch an extra option as his side head into a busy second half of the season and Gane will look to add to an impressive early career in the women’s game which has seen her play at international level.
Gane has previously played for the likes of Reading, Aston Villa and Oxford United before moving to AFC Wimbledon during the 19/20 campaign. The young full-back has also represented her country Wales at u18 and u19 level.
Manager Lee Burch is delighted to add a fresh face to his side and is looking forward to welcoming her to the Bees.
He said “I have known of Evie for a while and she has been around some WSL clubs, Aston Villa, Oxford etc. She’s sort of come onto are radar through our links with UCFB which we hope will continue to be strong.
“She’s a young player, technical, athletic and seems to have the right attitude and commitment to play Championship football and to push herself on. I’m looking forward to working with her over the rest of the season and giving her the opportunity to show us what she’s all about”
Evie will be available for selection for tomorrow’s FA Women’s Championship fixture with Lewes.
