Players from both London Bees and Barnet FC have been visiting the children’s wards at local hospitals to spread some festive spirit ahead of Christmas.

The Bees visited both Northwick Park and Barnet Hospital to spend time and chat with the children and their families.

The players handed out plenty of presents and ticket vouchers to those kids who are going through a difficult time this festive season.

Head of community Matt Dixon said:

“We always look forward to our hospital visits and Christmas is always extra special as you tend to reflect more and appreciate how lucky we are compared to some.

“It’s great to see the smiles on the children’s faces after giving them presents and hopefully some temporary relief. It’s at moments like this that you realise the positive impact the visits have made, and you can tell this means so much to them. I’m proud that our Club takes the time to get out in the community and we look forward to our next visit.

“We wish all the children and their families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank the staff for the wonderful work they do throughout the year.”
