Summary:

Coventry United Ladies are a newly promoted side to the FAWC, having finished first in last season’s FA Women’s National League South. Originally founded in 1991 as Coventry City Ladies, the club merged with Coventry United (a local non-league club) in July 2015, and have come along in leaps and bounds since. With their first season in the FA Women’s Championship, the club will be looking to cement themselves as an established side in the Championship, and have played some fantastic football of late, with preseason games against Sheffield FC Women and Liverpool Women’s FC.

We’ve met before:

The Bees have never faced Coventry United Ladies, meaning the prospect of our first meet in September could go either way. Of course, we will be hopeful of securing the three points both times round when facing the Red & Green, with our first game taking place at The Hive. Confidence will be running high for the Bees, and know that anything less than a win will be a disappointing result. Despite the unknown surrounding our fixtures against Coventry, we are sure that both games will be a great occasion for both clubs, and The Bees welcome Coventry United Ladies to the FAWC and wish them all the best for the upcoming season.
